leverage shrug
The Leverage shrug is an upper-body exercise targeting the traps (trapezius muscles) using a specialised shrug machine. It is usually performed for moderate to high reps, such as 8-12 reps per set or more, as part of shoulder or trap-focused training.

STEP BY STEP GUIDE:
- Stand inside the machine and with a firm grip, grasp the holding grips evenly on both sides.
- With your core tight, raise the weight upwards allowing the machine to control the path of the movement
- Squeeze your shoulder blades together as if you were trying to break a walnut between them.
- Pause for a brief moment as you squeeze. The slowly bring your shoulders back down to the starting position.
REPEAT FOR DESIRED REPS
