Capsimax

Supplement breakdown - Capsimax
WHAT IS CAPSIMAX?

Capsimax is a unique patented ingredient (made by OmniActive Health Technologies) seen in many popular fat burners on the current supplement market. It is a concentrated natural capsicum extract from red hot chilli peppers, and what sets it apart from other available extracts it the patented delivery system that ensures no oral or gastric burning that users have experienced when using other red hot chilli pepper and capsicum extracts of lesser quality.

WHAT DOES IT DO?

So what does this extract do? Putting it simply, it delivers a standardized amount capsaicinoids. These capsaicinoids are naturally occurring compounds that cause the burn and heat experienced when consuming chillies and more specifically, red hot chilli peppers which belong to the capsicum plant family and have been utilized in food and medicine for thousands of years. So what purpose do they serve in fat burners?

  • Increased Thermogenesis: Due to the effect capsaicinoids have on increasing heat, when Capsimax is consumed it increases thermogenesis in the body which in turn increases calorie expenditure.
  • Increased Lipolysis: Lipolysis is the process that occurs within the body when fats are broken down. This process is stimulated by an enzyme named Lipase, Capsimax stimulates this enzyme which in turn increases the rate of Lipolysis within the body. This of course yields the result of increasing the amount of stored fat being broken down and ultimately aids in fat loss.
  • Patented Delivery System: As mentioned earlier this is really what makes Capsimax stand out from other red hot chilli pepper and capsicum extracts. The problem with inferior extracts is they are HOT! Which can cause an uncomfortable burn when digested. Capsimax has solved this problem due to its patented OmniBead technology which ensures each Capsimax serve is coated in a coating which has a controlled-release that delivers effective levels of capsaicinoids without the uncomfortable burning sensation.

How Much Do I Need To Take?

The effective dosage for increased Lipolysis that has been studied is 50-100mg of Capsimax. The more individual dosage recommendation comes from its thermogenic effects. If you are sensitive to capsaicinoids, Capsimax may have you feeling heat like you never have before from products that do not contain the ingredient. Due to this a bit of trial and error may be necessary before heading straight to the 100mg dose. Many products available may include Capsimax at 20-50mg per serve, which is a typical dose to take twice a day, and these products may recommend 2 serves a day to reach the 50-100mg daily dose bracket.

When Do I Take It?

Capsimax will typically be found in fat burners and fat loss supplements, most of which are designed to be taken prior to cardio/exercise which is a perfect suit for Capsimax. To best make use of thermogenic effects Capsimax holds, it should be taken before exercise to increase the amount of total calories burnt. Taking it 15-30 minutes before performing exercise is the best option. On non-training days Capsimax can of course still be supplemented, just be aware of the strong thermogenic effects  and don’t plan an important date right after taking it.

How Long Does It Take To Work?

Within 10-30 minutes of taking Capsimax you can expect to be sweating when performing exercise. The thermogenic effect will of course be individual to dosing and tolerance, while the Lipolysis effect will begin as soon as the ingredient is digested. Of course to see fat loss results, Capsimax must be consistently used in coherence with a nutritious diet that has the user in a caloric deficit.
